HA-HA Design and Development (formerly HUM Design & Development) is a Dutch architecture firm specializing in the design and development of innovative housing solutions, adaptive and sustainable reuse and renovation of historic landmark buildings. Founded in Rotterdam in 2018, HA-HA believes that architecture, landscape, and urbanism are equally integral to a successful design proposal; the client and contractor are active collaborators; and that development, finance, and feasibility are part of the creative process.

Before founding HA-HA, Nima Morkoc worked for West 8, Mei Architects, and DEVE. He currently leads a studio on housing at TU Delft in the Netherlands, where he received his Masters in Architecture in 2019. HA-HA has previously collaborated with BIK Bouw, Realconomy and Wooncompas.
HA-HA is both an expression of delight and an unexpected, yet seamless, element of the landscape, often found in English gardens. HA-HA’s design sensibility is playful, practical, and harmonious - but never obvious or predictable.
